Working on the autobiographical history of my grandfather was a very rewarding project, from start to finish: working with my fellow editor Suzy Bills to clean up the manuscript, working with my grandmother and my aunts and uncles to get their input and their stories and their pictures, and preparing the work for publication using Photoshop and InDesign and Lulu. The pictures were very high quality since my dad scanned them at 1200 dpi; they turned out really well. I used the gold lettering on the cover that I learned how to do a few tutorials ago. My grandpa's story is simple and sad and wonderful and peaceful. The companion to this book, my grandma's history, is going to have the same format but with different colors.
