What Does The Unbound Bookmaker Do?
 

The Unbound Bookmaker is an electronic publishing preparation service, providing editing, typesetting, and graphic design services to assist those interested in publishing projects on their own. Clients send in their manuscripts, their photos, and their preferences, and in return they can receive a ready-to-print file for publishing online or printing locally.

If clients want a thorough edit or one color-corrected and print-ready image, The Unbound Bookmaker also offers individual services for projects.

What Is "The Unbound Bookmaker Project"?


The Unbound Bookmaker Project is dedicated to producing books for those whose voices are not often heard. We collaborate with teachers, literacy advocates, and sponsors to help produce stories that, while perhaps not publishing house material, are very important creative projects for those involved. Why UNBOUND?
 

1) The Unbound Bookmaker prepares everything for the project except the final printing/binding of the project and any marketing on behalf of the project. If clients desire to publish online with a print-on-demand company like Lulu® or CreateSpace™, they can specify such to us so our files will be compatible with the company's publishing requirements. Clients keep all the royalties.

2) Our clients are not bound by traditional publishing house rules. Clients can control how their finished products look (although if they desire to publish with a company like Lulu® or CreateSpace™, there are some printer specs and sound publishing practices we have to follow). They are able to review their projects several times and give their input before receiving the final files.

3) The Unbound Bookmaker is not bound to a physical location. We are available via phone, email, Skype and iChat, Google Video, and Google Chat. See How It Works.
